Todd Bailess

A commitment to excellence is the standard that clients can expect from Todd Bailess. As a former professional athlete and college coach, Todd practices law with the same competitive fire and fearlessness as he displayed on the playing field. Paramount to Todd’s success is his devotion toward the individuals he represents and the pride he takes in obtaining favorable results regardless of the adversary.

With the guidance of the late Michael C. Allen, Todd started Bailess Law, PLLC right out of law school and began litigating cases throughout West Virginia. At the outset of his legal career, Todd primarily practiced criminal law, providing him the opportunity to try cases to verdict and gain invaluable courtroom experience.

Over the years, Todd gravitated towards helping individuals who were wronged in the workplace and those who were injured.

In the past decade, Todd has obtained favorable results for hundreds of individuals who have been:

  • Negligently injured
  • Exposed to unsafe work environments
  • Unlawfully terminated
  • Not paid their wages in a timely manner

Based on his experience, Todd is readily considered as one of the premier employment lawyers in West Virginia.

When not practicing law, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is an avid trout fisherman and sports enthusiast. In 2009, Todd was inducted into the Barton College Athletic Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as an NCAA intercollegiate athlete and coach.
